New discussion starts, the Korean OEM LG wanted the LG Nexus 5 to be called the Nexus G. Google generally hide the names of the manufacturers that has produced the Nexus devices for the Google and now the Korean OEM LG is not happy with it and want their flagship name to be appearing with the new Nexus device. When you take a look at the Google Play Store, you will notice that the devices are only mentioned with the "Nexus" name like Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and Nexus 7.
But we think it is now too late, LG should do this before the launching of the new family member of the Nexus family. When Samsung released the Nexus devices for the Google, they have used its name in the Nexus family members that was produced by the Samsung like Nexus S which refers to the Samsung Galaxy S lineup and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus which used the Galaxy name but both are the Google Nexus devices.
Now LG wanted that the Nexus 5 should rename to the Nexus G which give reference to the LG G lineup as LG recently launched its new flagships with "G" like LG G2, G Flex, Optimus G and the G Pad.
