Today Samsung has just reveled the newest versions of Galaxy Tab, The Galaxy Tab 8.0 and Galaxy Tab 10.1. You might already know about the devices as it went through FCC. The 8-inch variant has a TFT display with a resolution of 1280 x 800(WXGA) (189ppi), A 5 megapixel camera on the back, A 1.3 megapixel snapper on the front, It also has a decent specs under the hood which includes a 1.5 GHz dual core processor of unknown origin, 1.5 GB of RAM and 16 or 32 GB of on-board storage which is expandable via microSD card upto 64 GB. All this is powered by a 4,450 mAh battery and running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. It will be available in three versions the WiFi only (dual-band a/b/g/n), 3G (HSPA+) and LTE variants.
Unfortunately the 10.1 variant also stretches the same WXGA resolution giving only 149ppi and the disappointment doesn't stop there, There is a smaller 3 megapixel camera on the back and a 1.3 megapixel snapper on the front. According to another source Reuters, The 1.6GHz dual core CPU in the bigger slate is provided by Intel, confirming a previous rumor. It only has a gig of RAM which is also a big disappointment. The storage options are the same as the 8-inch variant with a microSD slot supporting up to 64 GB cards. The device is powered by a 6,800 mAh battery and is running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and comes in WiFi only,3G and LTE version. The really good news is that if you are waiting for these tablets the wait is short as they will be available worldwide at the "Beginning of June".
