Android race has became the most interesting race in the
world of tech. Earlier this year the leader of this race Samsung came up with
the best and finest flagship Galaxy S4. But in a race there is
always a competitor and to compete with this champion Sony released Xperia Z1. Even
though the Xperia Z1 has the benefit of coming out about half a year after the
Samsung Galaxy S4 but still does it have what it takes to beat Galaxy S4
and became the champion of 2013??
Design
Well, both have their own specialty
but when it comes to design Xperia Z1 sure have a lead. GS4 has a more feminine
look, and it has its own charm especially when in white. It has flimsy
plastic construction with a size of 5.38 x 2.75 x 0.31 inches.
But when it comes to impressive exterior, fancier look, higher-quality
construction, size and an appealing device Xperia Z1 has it all
thanks to its tough front and back glass panels, as well as classy aluminum
frame and a size of 5.69 x 2.91 x 0.33 inches, which make it look
sexy and eye-catchy.
Xperia Z1 is tougher than
it looks because it comes with a shield that it's IP 58-certified, which
means it has some degree of protection against water and dust and also contains
Camera Key so if you clumsy or a photo geek you’ll prefer Sony Xperia Z1.
Display
Sony and Samsung
have chosen two completely different paths for
display of their flagship. Even then in terms of display specs both sets are
head to head measuring 5 inches and having resolutions of 1080 x 1920 pixels
with a pixel density of 441 ppi.
Sony
uses TFT LCD Triluminos tech which
give it impressive natural and realistic colors and better brightness and
outdoor visibility thanks to the stronger output of its LCD screen. Whereas
Galaxy S4 uses AMOLED screens whose color balance is way off with an overly
dominant green color and way too saturated colors. That's one area where AMOLED
screens are yet to catch up with LCDs.
CPU
Xperia Z1 come with a 2.2GHz, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon
800 (MSM8974) processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable via a
micro SD card), 20.7-megapixel camera and a 3,000 mAh battery. Whereas Samsung galaxy S4.is pack with
very powerful hardware like Exynos 5 Octa 5410 chipset along with Quad-core 1.6
GHz Cortex-A15 & Quad-core 1.2 GHz cortex-A7 and 2GB of RAM.
Therefore, Sony's
handset is moving more fluidly compared to the Galaxy S4, which exhibits some
lag every now and then. A completely lag-free is something the Xperia Z1
can offer you.
Camera
When it comes to camera Sony
Xperia Z1 is awesome because the 20.7 mega-pixels camera of Sony Xperia Z1 uses
the world's largest image sensor (1/2.3 inches) and the brightest lens (F2.0)
and the Z1's camera has the ability to stand-up against the best camera phones
available so far. While Galaxy S4 contains 13mp Camera which has the ability to
shoot the 1080p@30fps videos and with the autofocus and LED flash you can
snap great photos. Many other great features are filled in Galaxy SIV like air
gestures, switch images by hand waves and scroll web pages through
eye-scrolling. So in features Galaxy S4 might gives a charm but if you are a
true photo geek you will fall in love with Xperia Z1.
Battery
Larger size of the Xperia Z1
has allowed Sony to equip its device with an even larger unit 3000 mAh,
while Galaxy S4 contains 2600 mAh battery. Even then, the GS4 is rated
to achieve a slightly better 3G talk-time of 17 hours, versus the Z1's 15 hours.
Final Words
Finally we must say that these two Smartphones are the best
flagships out there. But in the race of Champion of Champions Xperia Z1 leads their
way may be because of the 6 months head start. But it is probably the best
smart phone of 2013 up till now, so we recommend you the Sony Xperia Z1 because
of its 20.7 mega-pixels camera, crispy, bright and fully colored display and the
main advantage and reason to buy Sony Xperia Z1 is that this Smartphone is IP58
certified which means dust proof and water resistant up to 1 meter and 30
minutes. So buy your Xperia Z1 and play with it during rain, talk with your
friends while swimming and shock your friends by splashing water onto Xperia Z1.
Sony Z1's screen is green like hell too ;)
