Samsung Galaxy S5 VS Sony Xperia Z2

Here the clash between two giants as for the first time Samsung Galaxy S5 flagship and Sony  Xperia Z2 has been launched in the same event that is MWC.

Introduction 

Samsung dropped a bombshell by finally ending the water proof and dust proof advantage of Xperia series by making S5 with these abilities as well. Not only environmental protection but it also have a Finger print scanner on its home key for privacy protection. The amazing Xperia Z2 counter it with a with stereo speakers and premium design.

Design 

The Samsung Galaxy S5 features Dimensions of  5.59 x 2.85 x 0.32 inches (142 x 72.5 x 8.1) and comes with a same plastic material but with a perforated rear pattern that is quite different than the "stitched leather". S5 also comes in Copper Gold color, Charcoal Black and Shimmery White and Electric Blue. The company calls it a "modern glam look".

But is it really Glamorous enough in front of Xperia Z2 which comes with Dimensions of 5.78 x 2.89 x 0.32 inches (146.8 x 73.3 x 8.2) build with a smooth strong glass material and ofcourse with a better body design.

Display 

When it comes to display both flagships goes head to head with a very slightly difference as the Galaxy S5 features a 5.1 inches Super AMOLED display with 1080x1920 pixels of resolution. Where as, Sony Xperia Z2 comes with a 5.2 inches Triluminos display with a  1080x1920 pixels of resolution.

Camera

Well well well... Looks like Samsung Galaxy S5 did put a good fight here but not enough to beat the best smartphone's camera flagship as, The Galaxy S5 features with a 16 MP camera which allows 4K video recording at 30fps. However, The Sony Xperia Z2 features with a 20.7 MP 1/2.3-type Exmor RS for mobile CMOS image sensor with 1.1 micron pixels, and Sony G Lens cover which also allows 4K video recording. S5 comes with 2.1 megapixels and Z2 comes with 2.2 megapixels Front-facing camera.

Hardware

Now its time for the final round where we'll get to know who's the new champ. 

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 801 (Qualcomm's MSM8974-AC chipset), clocked at 2.5 GHz with a 2 GB of RAM. Where as Xperia Z2 is powered by 2.3 GHz MSM8974-AB processor with a 3 GB of RAM. 

Well that's even them out as the S5 has slightly better processor but Z2 has better RAM. But when it comes to other hardware we believe Xperia Z2 takes a lead as it has a better Stereo speakers and a better battery as well. Samsung S5 is powered by a 2800 mAh battery whereas, Xperia Z2 is powered by 3200 mAh battery.
