BooOOooMmm !! The great news has just landed for those who are using the Korean units of the LG Optimus G Pro as the LG has finally rollout the Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Korean Optimus G Pro variants. A little bit late, but finally the Optimus G Pro users can taste the KitKat on their 5.5 inch monster.
Currently, the Android 4.4 KitKat update rolls out to the two carriers of Korea, the SKT (LG-F240S) and LG U+ (LG-F240L). KTF units still didn't get the KitKat treatment, but don't worry because the KTF branded G Pro will get the KitKat update by the end of March.
The new KitKat update makes the LG Optimus G Pro more faster than before, the new update also brings many improvements to the system. Transfer speeds via MTP also improved, better RAM management is also present and the key-feature of the KitKat, the transparent notification bar.
The update is currently available OTA (over the air) and you should check for it if you still running your Optimus G Pro on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean because the KitKat bars are waiting for you.
