There has been a dispute between the Finnish 'Nokia' and the HTC for more than an year.The recent patent dispute was filed in a court which was ended in the favor of Nokia on Wednesday.The case was concerning patent EP 0 998 024.
The dispute is about the HTC using qualcomm and Broadcom chips.The phones like HTC One,One mini,One V,One X+,Desire X,8X and 8S.Not only this,Nokia wants all these phones to at least ban from the UK instead,and yet claims a financial compensation from HTC.
The war don't seem to be ending in a near future as there are 50 cases been filed amongst them 3 have already won by Nokia so its still a one-sided dispute.
"This is the third court this year to find that HTC infringes the Nokia patents,bringing the number of patents found infringed to four.In September,the US International Trade Commission gave an initial determination of infringement of two Nokia patents and,in March the Mannheim court ordered HTC to cease infringing the Nokia power saving patent",Nokia commented
As the world is already familiar with that Microsoft will be having adequate shares in Nokia bringing upon some changes in the firm regarding the advanced technologies division and will gather those firm who aren't licensing Nokia's goodies.But the dispute between the HTC and Nokia seems to be never ending which may result in heavy loss.
