Pantech has never been a big competitor of android market, as it tried to compete with Samsung's Galaxy S4 in the past while launching Vega Iron.Being a firm of the same country where Sammy belongs to, it always tried to focus its own home country even after launching a phone in the US market.
Earlier in 2013, Pantech has already given it a try to compete with Galaxy S4 and now its again trying to repeat it by launching another high-end device to take on Galaxy S5.
A firm namely ZDNet Korea, its upcoming device will be called as Vega Iron 2 which will obviously be a successor of the last year's Vega Iron.It is expected that the company will launch its device in April, the same month in which Galaxy S5 will pop up.The Vega Iron 2 will have a metallic body with fingerprint scanner features.
The picture above is Vega Iron that came out with a 5" 720p display, so most probably the Vega Iron 2 will have almost the same size as of Vega Iron.Whether it'll be a QHD(1600x2560 pixels) device or not is still in ambiguity but as the phone will be a successor of the past device so it'll surely try to boost it to QHD as Galaxy S5 will be a QHD phone.
The phone will be launched in Korea by all three major carriers but the exact pop up date is still unknown.
